Everyone is feeling the sting of this economic crisis and Wal-Mart has noticed some trends in terms of consumer spending.
The first thing they have noticed is that more consumers are coming in at the first of the month when they get paid to make purchases.
Consumers are cutting back on the name brand items and purchasing more generic brands.
Consumers are visiting stores less frequently to save on gas.
Wal-mart has made some shifts with it's own spending. They are now cutting back on capital investment and won't open as many new stores, however they won't cut back on philanthropic spending this year.
I was just reading www.freemoneyfinance.com and apparently people are cutting back on trips to the dentist even though they have insurance. They don't want to pay the co-pay.
It looks like everyone is cutting back anyway they can to save money.
To Your great savings
